This digital-age backpack has a lot of space for large and small gear, including a D-SLR with a mounted 300mm F/2.8 or 400mm f/4 lens. For medium format gear, use the built-in adjustable dividers and adjustable cushions. The laptop or any gear near the left or right side can be grabbed easily through a Quick Access Port while slinging the backpack to one shoulder. No need to put the backpack down and open the top.
